Some days I see the news on TV, on line or in the local newspaper and I have to wonder what goes on in some people's heads. On a daily basis we see people saying they want a better world... better healthcare, better transport, a better environment, but when somebody suggests something that might just work the same people are up in arms because the idea is all wrong, it goes against everything they believe in. It doesn't seem to matter what the subject is! |

When I started this blog back in the first week of January 2007 I wasn't sure that I'd find something to write about every week and even wondered if the blog would make it past the first month, so I'm actually quite surprised that it lasted a whole year... more so the fact that somebody has actually read some of it and bothered to take the time to rate some of my ramblings. Some entries will have no doubt come over as mere rants about the seeming futility of the campaign against the mess this country is in, others have probably been no more than re-gurgitations of previous posts. But, I've found it useful to vent my spleen and I think I've learned a few things about the British system of weights and measures and it's relation to everyday life. So... what have I learned? |
